I can’t believe October is almost over. Here is what’s happening…oh and don’t forget to set your clocks back this Saturday.

Julie Rooney

Sports
Winter sports! ASB office! Get cleared now! Deadline this Friday, November 2nd.

Newport Football this Friday
Newport will be playing in the preliminary round of the State football tournament. We play Columbia River of Vancouver on Friday, November 2 @ 7:30 p.m. And if Newport wins their next game will be against (you’ll love this)……Bellevue.
Looks pretty easy to find – just west of exit 5 from I-5. The address for Columbia River High School is 800 NW 99th Street.

School Play

Come see the hilarious comedy Much Ado About Nothing - Nov. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, featuring a wonderful cast full of talent and surprises. This will be the first show in our new Performing Arts Center! Tickets are on sale during both lunches in front of the theatre doors for only $5 with ASB and $6 for adults.

Reflections
There have been some issues with the PTSA website and the links to Reflections so I have attached the forms needed. Please use ONLY the entry forms posted as individual form, they are already filled with the needed information. Please submit your entries by November 5th.

The Ski Swap
Nov 9, 5 to 9pm, and Nov 10, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Wrap is on Sunday, Nov 11th. This is the biggest event of the year for PTA, and it is one of the biggest Ski Swaps in the Puget Sound area. If you have never attended, drop by. It is an amazing thing to watch. If you want more information, or want to volunteer, go to
www.skiswap.info. We will track and submit your student’s Knight Valor hours so get involved, work & have fun! Snacks too!

These are the jobs most needed:

Curriculum Web
The school district is in the process of rolling out Curriculum Web. You got a letter in the mail from Superintendent Dr. Riley about it. Did you notice that the letter had your student’s ID and password on it? For information on how to logon, go to
www.bsd405.org/loginhelp
(Be patient as they work through a few minor issues)

Want a beautiful Poinsettia for the Holidays? The Senior Party is selling them as a fund raiser. Go to
www.nhsclassof2008.myevent.com for an order form and more information.

Picture Retakes
Picture retake packages are in. Please have your student stop by the office to pick up and while they are there pick up your PTA Directory (for those that have paid PTA memberships)!!!!
